  • Overview

    The Joint Systems Integration Laboratory (JSIL) is in need of a Missile Software Developer to support the maintenance, enhancements and upgrades for Ballistics/Missile and Aviation software in an Agile development environment.  

    The JSIL is a DoD establishment that supports the oversight and integration activities of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and UAS related technologies. JSIL support activities include technology assessment/insertion, interoperability, open architectures, common interfaces, integration, testing, and training.

    Responsibilities

    The Joint Systems Integration Laboratory (JSIL) is in need of an experienced Aviation and/or Missile Software Developer to provide DoD UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) software support.
    The JSIL is a DoD establishment that supports the oversight and integration activities of UAS and UAS related technologies. JSIL support activities include technology assessment/insertion, interoperability, open architectures, common interfaces, integration, testing, and training.

    The Software Developer will design, test and develop software applications in an agile/scrum environment utilizing Team Foundation Server (TFS). Software development will be primarily in C,C++, C#, Matlab, Python. Development will include working with EO/IR sensors, RF/Radar sensors, missiles/interceptors, threats, discrimination, detection/tracking or Command and Control (e.g., C3I, C4I, etc.). Will require Knowledge in common computer hardware interface and data protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, Serial Communication.

    • Participate in analyzing user requirements
    • Participate in detailed object-oriented analysis and design
    • Develop code in accordance with the design - Write unit test cases for inclusion in Continuous Integration
    • Participate in resolving technical issues that may arise during development

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
    • 5+ years Software Development Experience in C,C++, C#, Matlab, or Python
    • Experience developing Missile and/or Aviation based software.
    • Experience working with EO/IR sensors, RF/Radar sensors, missiles/interceptors, threats, discrimination, detection/tracking or Command and Control


    Desired Qualifications:

    • Object-Oriented Programming and Design Experience
    • Familiar with DIS (Distributive Interactive Simulation) Protocol
    • TCP/UDP Socket Programming Experience
    • Microsoft Team Foundation Server Experience
    • Demonstrated knowledge of good software engineering practices

    US Citizen ONLY for government security clearance requirements

    A secret clearance will be required.
