    Responsibilities

    Team will be required to perform Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) Assessment & Authorization (A&A) responsibilities onsite in support of the IHMEP System.  This support requires an IA professional with a CSWF IAM Level III and IAT Level II certifications.

     

    This position requires the ability to understand technical vulnerabilities and determine and recommend the most-appropriate remediation or mitigation in response to Nessus and ACAS scan results, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) findings and Security Readiness Reviews (SRRs); the ability to generate Risk Assessment Reports (RARs) as required for systems authorized to operate on Navy networks; an in-depth understanding to interpret and apply DoD IA and cybersecurity concepts, best practices and procedures; an understanding of the various IT system security essentials to include: hardware (e.g., servers), software (e.g., Linux), system audits, overall IA access control systems and methodology, physical security and information security.

    Qualifications

    U.S. Citizen only for Federal Clearance Requirement

     

     Basic Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of experience in system administration with a detailed understanding of Navy IA policies
    • 3+ years of experience in Information Technology solutions development and cost estimation
    • 3+ years of experience in the implementation of Security Technical Implementation Guides
    • Secret clearance required
    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering or a Mathematics-intensive discipline, or a 6 year equivalency
    • 8570 Certification to include either LINUX and/or Windows Operating System Certification and have technical understanding of Naval Oceanography IT systems and architecture
    • Must have or be able to obtain security clearance.

    Additional Qualifications:

    • Security + Certification
    • Experience configuring Cisco network switches (e.g. 3560 series)
    • Training in Windows Server 2008/2012
    • Technical understanding of Naval Oceanography IT systems and architecture
    • Experience managing Windows systems in a stand-alone (not network connected environment)
