    The Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program is the Minuteman III replacement system led by the United States Air Force. Our team is supporting the USAF’s nuclear deterrence mission to replace the entire weapon system and refurbish the existing ground systems infrastructure.


    Main area of focus will be Electromagnetic Environment Effects (E3) analysis and testing, assessment of E3 conditions and Survivability assessments at all GMD operational sites.


    • Develop and validate requirements for various communication, sensor, electronic warfare and other electromagnetic systems and components.
    • Develop and validate electromagnetic requirements for electrical\electronic systems, mechanical systems, interconnects and structures.
    • Develop architectures to integrate systems and components into higher level systems and platforms.
    • Perform trade studies, modeling, simulation and other forms of analysis to predict component, interconnects and system performance and to optimize design around established requirements.
    • Define and conduct tests to validate performance of designs to requirements.
    • Manage appropriate aspects of supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance to requirements.
    • Provide support to products throughout their lifecycle by developing root-cause analysis of anomalies and other engineering support as requested.
    • Support project management by providing work statement, budget, schedule and other required inputs and by reporting project status.
    • Write appropriate sections of proposals to support development of new business.
    • Work under general direction.


    • Must possess good organizational, interpersonal, and problem solving skills.
    • Must have demonstrated a strong work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned work with a history of meeting commitments.
    • Ability to adjust priorities to multiple demands and unanticipated events.
    • This position requires that you work out of Huntsville, AL and does not offer relocation assistance.
    • If you do not currently reside in or near this location, you must be willing to relocate at your own expense
    • Working knowledge of associated MIL Standards for E3
    • Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time as required
    • Highly motivated and must work well in a team environment.
    • The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Previous experience in the defense or aerospace industry
    • Previous experience in Electromagnetic Effects 

    Typical Education/Experience:

    Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.




    Must have or be able to obtain security clearance.
