    The selected candidate will support Agile Application Development technologies and capabilities in the areas of software development, systems engineering, integration, and test of software applications and infrastructure. This effort will support the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) an agency of the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS).


    • Implement cybersecurity solutions in the Cloud including IT security compliance policies and expertise 
    • Working closely with our development team to create an automated continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) system.
    • Responsible for defining and implementing the build, deployment and monitoring standards for this customer.
    • A part of Agile development teams to deliver an end-to-end automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management in a cloud environment
    • Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and external development teams to build and configure a high performing, scalable, cloud based infrastructure
    • Create scripts and/or templates to automate and/or bootstrap infrastructure provisioning and management tasks
    • Build and configure delivery environments supporting CD/CI tools using an Agile delivery methodology


    Must be able to pass a DHS Suitability clearance 


    Minimum 10 or more years’ experience with:

    • Engineering and administering commercial enterprise or government IT systems and networks
    • Supporting production IT infrastructure systems in public Clouds, including AWS or Azure
    • Implementing and supporting network and system security tools in the Cloud, including network firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS) and intrusion prevention systems (IPS), anti-malware, vulnerability scanning, encryption, monitoring, and Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM)
    • Knowledge of native Cloud security services in AWS and Azure
    • Knowledge of Cybersecurity concepts, including threats, vulnerabilities, security operations, encryption, boundary defense, auditing, authentication, and risk management
    • Hands-on experience with container management tools such as Docker and OpenShift
    • Strong understanding of AWS technology offerings and fundamentals such as EC2, S3, EBS, CodePipeline,  CodeDeploy, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and CloudFormation.
    • Solid understanding of Object Oriented programming (emphasis in Java) 
    • Familiarity with source control systems (emphasis on Git)
    • Ability to work in an open team environment
    • Have effective verbal and non-verbal communication with peers and clients

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of federal IT and Cloud security policies, including FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST 800–53, and DoD Cloud SRG, and applying them to the design and implementation of Cloud solutions to achieve an Authorization to Operate (ATO)
    • AWS Associate and Security+ Certifications
    • CISSP Certification
    • Multiple AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Certifications
    • USCIS experience preferred 

    Security Clearance: Must be a US Citizen and have or are able to obtain a Government Agency Suitability Clearance.
