    We are looking for an experienced System Administrator to join our team!  

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:

    Demonstrated professional and specialized expertise supporting Navy Shore Installation projects:

    System Administration and Engineering experience centered around large-scale Enterprise deployments in support of Navy AT/FP shore installation projects. Individual shall have technical expertise in the installation, configuration, and sustainment of enterprise IT solutions. The System Administrator will have a working knowledge of typical end devices and the interface requirements to back end solutions. The system administrator will work directly with technicians, drafters and system engineers on end to end architectures and design plans, security and overall implementation strategy.

     

    Position responsibilities involve:

    • Build out / configuration of new windows servers
    • Implementation of STIGs
    • Creation of GPOs
    • Administration of Windows Server 2012 VMs and components
    • Performs OS updates and migrations to new versions for system security and data integrity.
    • Ensures that operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to DISA STIGs and Navy guidelines.
    • Understanding of the Navy Shore Installation Process Handbook (SIPH)
    • Understanding of Installation Design packages
    • Monitors software changes and recommends software updates to keep systems up-to-date.
    • Work as a high level independent contributor or team leader
    • Technical understanding of Operating Systems and Shore Platform end devices within a Navy environment

     

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree (in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field), or equivalent experience with demonstrated professional and specialized expertise supporting Navy Shore Installation projects
    • 3-5 years’ relevant experience with preferred related work experience on Navy programs
    • IAT Level 1 certifications (DoDI 8510.01) including CompTIA A+ or Security+
    • Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) Windows 10, Configuring in virtual environments, to include PowerShell, VBScript, batch or some other Windows-specific scripting experience
    • Strong communication (written and verbal) skills.
    • Able to obtain and maintain government security clearance.
    • Active Secret Clearance
    • Extensive (~50%) travel required

    Desired Skills/Qualifications:

    • Experience with Server configurations, images and backups in secured Navy environments
    • Enterprise design and deployment experience in large scale, complex Navy systems
    • OS and application deployment and maintenance automation skills
    • Experience in Information Assurance accreditation processes and methodologies

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in Navy Shore Installations.
    • Technical Certs (OS, CISSP, Security)

     

     

    Must have or be able to obtain security clearance.
