    Responsibilities

    A Human Resources professional is needed in our dynamic, growing San Diego, California office. The ideal individual would be certified in California Human Resources with experience in overseeing corporate safety programs, delivering training to large audiences, working in both HRIS and ATS systems, and managing a lively office.

    This position will be an extension of the Geocent Corporate Human Capital team. The individual will have responsibility for the following areas of the Geocent San Diego office: Human Resources, Safety, Security, and Office Operations. This position may also be responsible for other corporate-level HR tasks as assigned by the Vice President of Human Capital.

    Human Resources:

    • Support San Diego employees on all HR functions including but not limited to benefits, payroll, policies, timekeeping, compliance (FLSA, FMLA, local labor laws, etc.)
    • Provide onboarding support to all new hires in San Diego office
    • Provide local recruiting support when needed through interviews or job fair attendance

    Safety

    • Oversee execution of Corporate safety program
    • Maintain employee safety training records, safety documents, and compliance (OSHA)
    • Participate in annual safety audits

    Security

    • Assist corporate Facility Security Officer (FSO) in processing security badges and access for San Diego employees

    Office Management

    • Manage the operations of a growing office. This could include assistance with communications, looking for new office space, serving as a liaison with Corporate office, and supporting general office needs.
    • Plan and execute Geocent employee morale events as directed by Corporate or needed in the local office
    • Coordinate community volunteer events
    • Ensure office supplies are stocked

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or similar field.
    • Human Resources certification required. California HR certification preferred.
    • Experience in working with corporate safety programs preferred.
