    Responsibilities

    The tasks may include, but are not limited to:

    • Develop AIT simulations, detailed tooling and production facility plans space flight launch vehicles;
    • Apply extensive job practices, techniques, standards and principles to influence hardware design and manufacturing processes, with a goal to implement Design for Manufacturing and Assembly methods (DFMA);
    • Supportt the Production Engineering organization representative(s) for the prime Producibility technical contact to tiered suppliers of large machined parts, systems components or Avionics and electrical;
    • Author and develop (AIT) sections of the Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration and Test plan to satisfy Preliminary Design Review (PDR) and Critical Design Review (CDR) contractual deliverables;
    • Develop and present highly technical material during Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM’s) with (NASA) customer and other suppliers associated with Boeing and (NASA);
    • Provide support as part of (IPT) on Change Control Boards (CCB), supplying manufacturing cost and schedule impacts to program management on design changes from the baseline plan;
    • Interact with other personnel on technical matters often requiring coordination, planning and execution between organizations and multiple stakeholders;
    • Refine, validate, coordinate, and implement conceptual designs and manages the program architecture for build;
    • Document and communicate producibility best practices;
    • Assist in the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies;
    • Participates as a member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the integration of technical solutions;
    • Work with others to develop, identify and implement conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build;
    • Assist in implementing manufacturing plans;
    • Resolve technical problems and assist in the implementation of new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts;
    • Assist in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies;
    • Interfaces with professional associations, suppliers, IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge and experience;
    • Deliver high quality plans, records, and reports in support of Mfg Eng for the Development, Planning, Fabrication , Assembly, and Integration production effort(s);
    • May perform tasks in Foreign Object Debris (FOD) controlled environments;
