    Responsibilities

    • Leak testing of production and fluid systems on the SLS core stage using bubble testing, pressure change, and mass spectrometer testing methods.
    • Updating test procedures, test setup, test conduct, test tear down, and paperwork closure.
    • Working with Buyer’s Production organization to deliver high quality plans, records, and reports in support of the Development, Planning, and Assembly efforts.
    • Tasks may require accessing hardware and equipment using stairs or ladders and may require bending down and reaching overhead.

    Qualifications

    • Specific Leak Testing (LT) certification per ANSI/ASNT CP-105, Standard Topical Outlines for Qualification of Nondestructive Testing Personnel, Level I, II, or III. Without the ASNT certification, specific training, practical experience, and examination criteria for certification per ASNT Recommended Practice No. SNT-TC-1A is required.
    • Must complete leak testing tasks at the Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, LA and meet all NASA requirements to obtain access to the site.
