    • Provide database administration support for a critical DoD system
    • Install and maintain the performance of database servers
    • Build database systems of high availability and quality
    • Develop processes for optimizing database security
    • Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards
    • Performance tuning of database systems
    • Install, upgrade, and manage database applications
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors
    • Create automation for repeating database tasks
    • Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data
    • Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
    • Develop complex database queries, stored procedures, and functions according to software development requirements


    • Minimum 7 years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server
    • Strong command of SQL and SQL server tools
    • Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards
    • Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling
    • PowerShell scripting skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Impeccable attention to detail
    • Self-starter, resourceful, detail oriented, with excellent follow-up skills and the ability to organize and adapt to changing priorities.
    • Outstanding interpersonal communication skills to include patience, flexibility, consideration, discretion, tact, and confidence.
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and in small groups.

    Preferred Requirement:

    • Experience with Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence systems
    • Experience working with Department of Navy/Commander Naval Installations Command Anti-Terrorism, Force Protection and Emergency Management Common Operational Picture tools

    Education Requirement:

    •  Must possess a current CompTIA Security + certification or obtain one as a contingency of employment
    • Must have or complete the training requirements for a DoD IAT2 credential within 4 months of employment


    Must have or be able to obtain DoD Secret level security clearance
