    Responsibilities

     

    The candidate will be a team member within in the Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) Program Office and the Marine Corps. Enterprise Information Technology Services (MCEITS) IV&V Team as the MCEITS IV&V Coordinator.

    • Interface with multiple stakeholders with different levels of authority to ensure Cybersecurity tasking gets completed within established timelines, and the application is kept on track for IV&V Milestones.
    • Assist the application owner with adapting artifacts to incorporate MCEITS components such as diagrams, accreditation boundaries with respect to the MCEITS accreditation boundaries, and assist in identifying which inheritable controls to include.
    • Provide the IV&V team and MCEITS IA team with a Security Requirements Traceability Matrix (SRTM).
    • Conduct meetings with Application POC and the Application IA team to develop the required documents, diagrams, supporting documents for the application's IV&V.
    • Use IA Templates for the RMF Control Families for standardization when supporting the application.
    • Initial reviewer for IV&V MCCAST application packages to ensure all prerequisites are met.
    • Coordinate with the System Owners to ensure post IV&V action items are accomplished for final package signoff.
    • Provide Validator updates on progress made by each application package coming in for IV&V.
    • Contributes general consulting (risk analysis) and project support in the area of information security to IT infrastructure.
    • The IV&V Coordinator will be the MCEITS IV&V Validation process owner who will help develop and maintain an interactive SharePoint site for IV&V package workflows.

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related discipline.
    • Six (6) years of experience, to include applicable security discipline principles, practices, and procedures.
    • Experience in the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Able to perform high quality work with minimal supervision.
    • Must have a current or prior DOD 8570.1-M IAT Level II certification (i.e. CompTIA Security+).

    Desired Skills

    • Experience in working with customers on the PMO level
    • Cybersecurity experience supporting the DoD
    • Experience with the Marine Corps Assessment and Authorization Process (MCAAP)
    • Well versed in industry best practices and Government security guidelines and instructions from DoD, DISA, NSA, and NIST.)

    Travel: Up to 10% of time.

     

    Must have or be able to obtain Secret level security clearance.
